Revenue Minister Promotes 23 Officers in Administrative Reshuffle

Mundian Affirms Government’s Commitment to Timely Career Progression

Chandigarh, April 28: Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian distributed promotion letters to 23 department officials during a ceremony at Punjab Bhawan on Tuesday. The administrative update includes the elevation of six officers to District Revenue Officers, eight to the rank of Tehsildar, and nine Kanungos to Naib Tehsildar.

The Revenue Minister stated that these promotions serve as an acknowledgment of the officers’ long-standing contributions to the state’s revenue administration. He maintained that the government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is focused on ensuring that employees receive their career advancements within stipulated timeframes.

“A fair and transparent promotion process strengthens the administrative system,” Minister Mundian affirmed. He noted that timely career progression encourages officers to deliver improved public services and maintain high standards of governance.

Additional Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner Revenue Anurag Verma also attended the function to congratulate the newly promoted staff. He declared his confidence that the officers would uphold their duties with integrity and commitment in their elevated roles. The Minister asserted that such personnel updates are part of a broader effort to streamline the state’s revenue department and enhance overall efficiency.
