Chief Minister lauds legacy of service and distributes development benefits in Ayodhya

Ayodhya, July 10 — The statue of late Munna Singh Chauhan, the former Irrigation and Flood Control Minister of Uttar Pradesh, was officially unveiled on Friday during a commemorative event dedicated to his legacy of public service.

Paying rich floral tributes to the late leader, the Chief Minister maintained that Munna Singh Chauhan rose from an ordinary family through immense personal struggle, eventually dedicating his entire life to the progress of the farming community and the successful management of the state’s irrigation sectors. The Chief Minister declared that this legacy is now being carried forward seamlessly to serve the development needs of Bikapur and fulfill public welfare goals.

The event featured a series of community-focused welfare initiatives, where the Chief Minister interacted closely with local families. During a heartwarming session with young children dressed as historical heroes and women icons, the Chief Minister spent time encouraging their patriotism, distributing chocolates, and sharing playful, light-hearted conversations.

In a traditional ceremony, the Chief Minister also performed the Annaprashan ritual for infants from diverse communities, gently applying sandalwood paste on their foreheads, cradling them, and presenting them with toys. Prior to the main event, prayers were offered at the local Lord Shiva temple, with traditional rituals performed to invoke peace, health, and prosperity for the entire state.

The administrative focus remained strong as the Chief Minister handed over substantial financial and welfare assets to beneficiaries of various government schemes. Among the recipients, Anuradha Dubey and Anju were presented with a major financial allocation exceeding eleven crore rupees under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. Financial support for youth entrepreneurship was also extended, with Avneesh Mishra and Amit Gautam receiving significant funding certificates under the CM Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan to help drive local business growth.

The welfare distribution further enhanced housing security and rural employment opportunities. Soni Maurya and Pinky were presented with the keys to their new homes under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, while specialized equipment and toolkits were handed out under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman to empower local artisans named Vikas and Pankaj Kumar. Additional support distributed during the visit included solar power certificates, bank agency credentials, healthcare cards, and agricultural kits to boost rural self-reliance.
