Ayodhya, July 10 — A significant infrastructural transformation was initiated on Friday as the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 217 comprehensive development projects valued at over 432 crore rupees in the Bikapur Assembly constituency while questioning whether anyone would ever be allowed to recite the Hanuman Chalisa inside the Jama Masjid, accusing previous governments of failing to protect the sanctity of Hanuman Garhi and allegedly neglecting Ayodhya for decades.

The developmental push was accompanied by a major administrative announcement renaming two prominent local municipal bodies to honor sacred and historical heritage. The Bhadarsa Nagar Panchayat will officially be recognized as the Bharatpur Bharatkund Nagar Panchayat, celebrating the enduring legacy of devotion associated with Bharat Ji. Additionally, following local representations, the Khirauni-Suchittaganj Nagar Panchayat is set to be renamed after Maa Jwala Devi.

Addressing a massive gathering that assembled despite heavy, continuous rainfall, the Chief Minister strongly criticized political organizations that manipulate public faith for opportunistic gains.

He used the contrast between offering prayers at the sacred Hanumangarhi temple and the Jama Masjid to condemn what he termed “appeasement politics” and disrespect toward the Hindu faith. His remarks challenged the opposition to apologize for the alleged historical event.

It was asserted that certain past regimes permitted actions that compromised the sanctity of holy spaces like Hanumangarhi, yet lack the consistency to permit reciprocal cultural expressions elsewhere. The Chief Minister declared that such actions stood in stark contrast to efforts that have firmly established Ayodhya as a premier global cultural capital.

“The regional upgrade shows a massive transition from a long period of civic neglect to modern connectivity and regional pride.” The Chief Minister affirmed that the implementation of wide multi-lane roads, extensive solar city initiatives, and the beautification of major riverside ghats from Naya Ghat to Guptar Ghat have completely rejuvenated the landscape. It was further maintained that projects like the Maharshi Valmiki International Airport and enhanced rail networks have successfully integrated the region with major economic centers across the nation.

The administration also took the opportunity to reaffirm its commitment to social harmony and cultural restoration. The Chief Minister pointed out that previous attempts to allow illegal encroachments under various pretexts at historical sites like Shringverpur have been replaced by the construction of a grand memorial and statue celebrating the historic meeting of Lord Ram and Nishadraj. The event, which also included the formal unveiling of the statue of late minister Munna Singh Chauhan, concluded with expressions of deep gratitude to the public and local representatives for driving this unprecedented confluence of heritage and regional development.
