Khanna, 15 December 2024: The body of Ashish Kumar Yadav, a Class 10 student at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Farour near Khanna, was discovered near a railway track, leaving unanswered questions about how he left the hostel and met his fate.
The deceased, hailing from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, was identified by his father, Anil Kumar Yadav, who resides with his family in Mandi Gobindgarh. Ashish’s younger sister, a Class 9 student at the same school, also raised concerns with the family.
Yadav accused school authorities of negligence and demanded clarity on the circumstances of his son’s death, stating, “How did he leave the hostel? We need answers and justice.”
Rupinder Singh, the investigating officer from Railway Police, said the student’s body, dressed in the school uniform, was found by patrolling personnel.
Authorities contacted the school principal, who confirmed the identity. The investigation now focuses on CCTV footage and evidence to determine how the student left the hostel.
The case remains under scrutiny, with the family and public demanding thorough investigation and accountability.
