NEW DELHI, AUGUST 14: The Delhi Traffic Police issued a detailed travel advisory outlining comprehensive traffic restrictions around the Red Fort for the 80th Independence Day celebrations. Effective between four in the morning and ten in the morning, the measures aim to secure public safety and ensure orderly movement across key arterial routes in the national capital.

Authorities advised commuters to schedule travel well in advance, factor in extra transit time, and strictly follow directions displayed on Variable Message Signs as well as instructions from deployed personnel.

The Traffic Wing has also appealed to commuters to cooperate in ensuring safe and smooth traffic movement during the celebrations and to stay updated through official Traffic Police advisories for real-time information, the Delhi Traffic Police stated.

To support seamless access for event attendees and the general public, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced early morning operations across all lines starting at four in the morning with trains running at thirty-minute intervals until standard schedules resume. Transit officials highlighted that passengers can deboard at Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Delhi Gate stations to reach the venue. Additionally, the transit authority provided over one lakh thirty thousand special pre-vended QR tickets to the Ministry of Defence to facilitate hassle-free entry and travel for special invitees and dignitaries.
