Una Police Collect Rs 74,400 Fine

Una, November 14, 2024 — In a recent operation aimed at enforcing law and order, the Una district police launched a strict crackdown on traffic violations and illegal mining activities, collecting a total of Rs 74,400 in fines.

During the campaign, Una police issued 316 challans for various traffic offenses, resulting in fines amounting to Rs 53,800. Additionally, six individuals were penalized for smoking in public places, bringing in fines of Rs 600. Authorities emphasized that the drive aims to promote road safety and discourage public misconduct.

The crackdown extended to illegal mining under the jurisdiction of Haroli police station, where four vehicles involved in unauthorized mining were seized. A total fine of Rs 20,000 was imposed on the offenders.

The district police underscored their commitment to maintaining law and order and assured that efforts to curb illegal activities would continue. The public has been urged to comply with traffic regulations and avoid illegal practices to support the overall safety and security of the region.
