Sangrur, June 27: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann called upon Aam Aadmi Party volunteers to maintain a strict vigil during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. Speaking at a dedicated state volunteer meeting in Sangrur on Friday, the Chief Minister asserted that vigilant oversight is essential to prevent any attempts by political adversaries to delete the votes of legitimate citizens and party supporters to influence upcoming polls.

The Chief Minister maintained that the dedication of grassroots workers forms the core strength of the organization, assuring that steadfast ground personnel will be entrusted with key institutional responsibilities. He expressed absolute certainty that public support for the current administration’s governance model will secure an overwhelming mandate of over 100 seats in the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

“This has become the standard operating procedure of the BJP to win elections. Every volunteer must remain vigilant and ensure that not a single genuine vote is deleted. Our fight is against the combined alliance of the Akali Dal, BJP and Congress, who have no agenda except capturing power and plundering Punjab,” CM Bhagwant Singh Mann declared.

The Chief Minister stated that the administration remains focused on reducing the economic burden on citizens through comprehensive welfare policies. He shared that public utility improvements have accelerated rapidly, including the successful closure of 19 toll plazas that saved the public nearly ₹70 lakh daily, and the completion of 3,100 rural sports grounds by mid-July to engage the youth productively.

The discussion also focused on systemic structural updates, including the recruitment of over 68,000 youth through merit-based channels and a massive infrastructure plan to transition overhead power lines into an advanced underground distribution setup. The Chief Minister declared that the visible relief in household expenditures has left traditional political factions unsettled.

“Met with our party’s backbone, our dedicated volunteers, in Sangrur today. We had an open and detailed discussion about the work being carried out in their respective constituencies. Our government’s policies have substantially reduced both household and agricultural expenses of the people, and this is why the opposition is rattled,” the Chief Minister stated.
