Chandigarh, 12 October 2024: With the departure of the monsoon, Punjab’s weather is beginning to shift, bringing daytime heat and mild cold in the mornings and evenings.
The Meteorological Department has indicated that no western disturbance is expected to become active in the next week, leading to continued warm days.
Although the daytime temperatures will remain stable, slight drops in nighttime temperatures are predicted.
The department also noted that frost could make its appearance in Punjab after a week.
The day temperatures may start decreasing between October 21 and 22.
Historically, temperatures in North India begin to fall by the second week of October, with colder conditions setting in by early November.
