Uttar Pradesh, October 25, 2024: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure no power cuts occur in the state from October 28 to November 15, coinciding with several major Hindu festivals.
During a meeting with divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and senior police officers, Adityanath emphasized the need for 24-hour uninterrupted power supply throughout this festive period.
He urged the Power Corporation to make necessary preparations and stressed the importance of maintaining emergency health and trauma services, ensuring doctors are readily available in both rural and urban areas.
In light of the upcoming celebrations, the Chief Minister has also focused on the risk of food and drink adulteration during festivals, calling for expedited food safety inspections while ensuring that no harassment occurs during these checks.
Furthermore, Adityanath instructed the Transport Department to enhance bus services on rural routes and to prevent dilapidated buses from operating.
Raising the need for strict law and order, the Chief Minister ordered police to remain on high alert and maintain open communication and cooperation across all segments of society.
He reiterated the positive atmosphere surrounding festivals such as Rakhi, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Durga Puja, Dussehra, and others, urging vigilance against any disruptions.
Moreover, he called for increased monitoring of social media to ensure public safety.
