Mohali, 8 February 2025: A Mohali court sentenced three men to 10 years in prison for selling restricted injections, nearly six years after their arrest in 2018.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Baljinder Singh Sra convicted Shaukat Ali of Manakpur, along with Jagmohan Mona and Vinod of Ambala, under the NDPS Act.
Shaukat was apprehended following a tip-off to the Sohana police, who received information that he was selling illegal injections near Saneta. Officers stopped and searched him, recovering 19 vials of restricted injections.
During questioning, he revealed that he sourced the drugs from Jagmohan Mona and Vinod.
Police subsequently arrested the two suppliers and recovered 52 more vials.
Investigations revealed that the injections were brought from Ambala and supplied to young people in Mohali. A case was registered at Sohana police station in May 2018, leading to the convictions.
