South Africa’s Coaching Shake-Up: Conrad Takes Charge!

South Africa ,May 9: Cricket South Africa (CSA) announced on Friday that Shukri Conrad has been named the all-format coach of South Africa’s men’s teams.

Rob Walter resigned from his position as white-ball coach at the end of April, and Conrad took over as Test coach.

Conrad will remain in command until the conclusion of the 2027 World Cup, which will take place in Namibia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

South Africa has advanced to the WTC final under Conrad, where they will face Australia at Lord’s next month.

According to a press release, Conrad stated, “Coaching the Test side has been the greatest privilege of my cricket journey, and to now oversee the white-ball teams as well is something unbelievably special.”

“The opportunities that lie ahead truly thrill me. From the caliber of our older players to the next generation of juniors hoping to play for the Proteas, South African cricket boasts amazing white-ball ability. I think we have what it takes to accomplish something exceptional, and there is a solid basis upon which to develop.

“We have a full schedule, beginning with the T20 World Cup next month and the WTC final next month.”
