Chandigarh, Feb 8: Forest Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak and AAP Media In-charge Baltej Pannu have launched a sharp attack on Pratap Singh Bajwa, accusing him of maintaining a feudal outlook that mocks the professions of hardworking citizens. The backlash follows a statement where Bajwa allegedly referred to a cabinet minister’s family background in the band-playing business.

Kataruchak mentioned that this is part of a recurring pattern where Bajwa targets leaders who rise from the working class. He noted that the Congress leader has previously used metaphors like “desi tattu” (local ponies) to describe Dalit leaders within his own party, reflecting a deep-seated bias.

“You are afflicted with a feudal mindset,” Kataruchak said. He mentioned that Minister Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. is a highly educated professional whose family reached their position through honest labor. He noted that mocking such a journey is an insult to the principles of equality.

Baltej Pannu stated that it is a matter of pride for a person from a modest family to reach the post of Cabinet Minister. He noted that the Congress party appears troubled by the rise of common citizens in the political sphere, often resorting to vulgar remarks about their previous occupations, such as mobile repairing or playing music.

“Remove the filth filled inside your mind and do not make vulgar remarks against any community,” Pannu said. He mentioned that the party is prepared to take legal and political action if a retraction is not issued promptly.

Pannu said that the people of Punjab are watching how the opposition creates obstacles for those from humble backgrounds. He mentioned that the government remains committed to representing all sections of society regardless of their financial status.
