GURUGRAM, JUNE 7: A private security officer allegedly shot and killed his wife and adult son with a licensed pistol late Saturday night inside their residence in the Ashok Vihar neighborhood, local authorities announced. Police teams responding to emergency calls discovered the suspect, identified as Anil, waiting beside the victims’ bodies at the crime scene.

The initial investigation indicates that domestic discord preceded the shooting. Anil, who previously worked for several years as a physical education teacher and sports trainer before transition to a private security role, reportedly had a history of frequent disputes with his spouse. His wife, 45-year-old Asha, was employed as a principal at a regional private school.

The confrontation escalated significantly around midnight when the couple’s 25-year-old son, Prashant, woke up in an adjacent bedroom and attempted to defuse the argument. Investigators stated that the suspect turned his anger toward his son before discharging his licensed weapon multiple times, killing both family members instantly.

Nearby residents contacted the police control room immediately after hearing multiple gunshots from the home. Arriving forensic units and sector police secured the scene, seized the firearm, and transferred the victims to the local Civil Hospital, where medical staff formally declared them deceased.

Sector-5 Police Station SHO Satyavan stated that emergency personnel moved rapidly upon receiving the alert. He noted that comprehensive forensic sweeps have been completed at the residence to determine the exact sequence of events.

“Information about the incident was received through the police control room, following which a team rushed to the spot,” SHO Satyavan declared. “Statements of family members and relatives are being recorded. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.”

Department officials further affirmed that criminal investigators are waiting for specialized ballistic results to verify the exact number of rounds discharged during the altercation.
