Bathinda/Chandigarh, June 13: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal declared that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is positioned to retain his leadership of the state in the 2027 assembly elections. Speaking at a celebratory roadshow following the party’s recent victory in the Bathinda Municipal Corporation polls, the party chief attributed the electoral success to four years of transparent administration.
The senior leadership team, including state party president Aman Arora and party supervisor Manish Sisodia, attended the event alongside several regional representatives to acknowledge the voters.
Mr. Kejriwal noted that while previous state leaders faced numerous questions regarding financial irregularities, the current administration has maintained a clean record.
“In the last four years, not a single allegation of corruption involving even one paisa has been made against Bhagwant Mann,” Mr. Kejriwal declared, adding that federal investigative agencies would have intervened if any discrepancy existed.
The national convenor remarked that upcoming structural changes would alter the state’s traditional political timeline. He asserted that the legislative elections are scheduled for November rather than February, leaving a brief period for preparation.
Addressing the local gathering, the party leader contrasted his organization with regional opponents, labeling rival factions as groups defined by internal disputes, administrative misconduct, and political intimidation. He maintained that public satisfaction remains high because the administration eliminated regional extortion practices, specifically referencing the cessation of localized illegal levies that troubled local traders during previous terms.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann affirmed that traditional political groups operated in coordination during the local body elections to challenge the current administration. He stated that the electorate recognized this cooperation and chose to support his party’s candidates across the municipality.
The chief minister stated that the administration successfully diverted public funds away from illicit commissions and toward state infrastructure, public health, and education. He affirmed that standard welfare policies, including free domestic electricity and comprehensive medical insurance coverage, remain fully operational.
The administration outlined agricultural updates, promising full logistical support for rural communities. Mr. Mann stated that the state successfully restored the regional canal network, delivering irrigation resources to remote agricultural fields that faced shortages for thirty years.
