LUDHIANA, JUNE 22 — Rumors surrounding a major organizational restructuring within the Bharatiya Janata Party intensified on Monday after national president Nitin Nabin abruptly altered his scheduled tour of Punjab to return to New Delhi. The party chief was initially slated to travel from Ludhiana to Chandigarh for several high-level administrative and social engagements, but he instead finalized plans to depart directly from Ludhiana.

The sudden change in schedule coincides with a series of organizational review meetings arranged in the national capital following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s return from the G7 summit and his participation in International Yoga Day events. Political circles stated that a comprehensive internal revamp of the party apparatus has been overdue and could be announced imminently.

Party functionaries maintained that the structural blueprint for the reorganization had already received broad consensus during an earlier joint meeting between senior party leaders and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on June 15. The final execution of these plans was reportedly awaiting formal review by the Prime Minister upon his return from international engagements.

“The buzz around the revamp of the BJP organisation intensified on Monday as party president Nitin Nabin’s Punjab visit was cut short,” an organizational representative declared. “Nabin will not visit Chandigarh now. He will cut short his Punjab stay and head back to Delhi from Ludhiana on Monday afternoon.”

Before altering his travel arrangements, the national president concluded his local itinerary by visiting leading agricultural scientist Sardara Singh Johl in Ludhiana to discuss the ongoing agrarian challenges in the region. The canceled portion of his trip included a courtesy visit to Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria and an evening gathering at the Chandigarh residence of state party chief Kewal Dhillon.
