Varanasi, July 8: Twelve school heads from across Uttar Pradesh were honored for their outstanding contributions to environmental maintenance and campus hygiene under the national Clean and Green School initiative. The presentation showcased the successful transformation of campus environments through improved drinking water access, modern sanitation facilities, and overall student hygiene standards.
“Under the NIPUN Bharat Abhiyan, Class 3 students appeared proficient in forming and reading sentences,” stated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while observing student exhibits and praising their language and mathematical skills. He affirmed that the overarching national vision focuses on making every child capable and proficient in their respective fields, noting that a strong building can only be constructed on a solid foundation.
Prior to the ceremony, an interaction with council school students allowed for an inspection of various educational models prepared by the children. The interactive session involved learning about the inspiration behind the projects, encouraging children with disabilities, and distributing chocolates to the participants. The event also served as a platform for a major administrative milestone, where the Basic and Secondary Education Department exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Bank of India under a new social security initiative.
The event concluded with the distribution of health benefits to educational staff under the Mukhyamantri Shikshak Cashless Chikitsa Suvidha Yojana. Fifteen beneficiaries, representing both primary and secondary education sectors alongside administrative support staff, received their new health cards. In a move to demonstrate the comprehensive family coverage of the scheme, multiple members of a single teacher’s household were among those who received the medical cards during the ceremony.
