Two Firefighters Die in Greater Noida Factory Blaze, Three Injured

Wall collapse during midnight operation at Ecotech-3 unit leads to deadly incident

Noida, August 4: Two brave firefighters lost their lives while three others sustained injuries after a wall and heavy iron beam collapsed on them during a night-long operation to extinguish a massive fire at an electronic chip manufacturing facility in Greater Noida.

The tragic incident occurred at the ILGIM company unit located within the Ecotech-3 industrial region. Fire services dispatched at least six tenders to the location immediately after receiving emergency calls regarding the inferno.

As teams pushed inside to control the flames, a structural section suddenly gave way, trapping five emergency responders underneath the debris.

All injured personnel were evacuated from the site via ambulance and rushed to a nearby medical facility. Medical staff later confirmed that Fireman Rohit Yadav and Head Constable Driver Tirathpal succumbed to their severe injuries during treatment.

Updating on the medical status of the remaining team, a police spokesperson stated that Head Constable Driver Rajpal Singh along with Firemen Manish Kumar and Amit Kumar are currently undergoing medical care, with doctors confirming their conditions to be out of danger.

Senior police officials alongside teams from the State Disaster Response Force remain stationed at the location to coordinate further operations.

Regarding ongoing procedures, the spokesperson affirmed that authorities are actively investigating the root cause of the blaze while initiating all necessary legal measures.
