GANDERBAL, SEPTEMBER 11: A reported stunt attempt turned risky near Sonamarg in Ganderbal district on Friday after a Scorpio vehicle entered Nallah Sindh and became stranded in the water channel.
According to preliminary reports, a group of youths was allegedly attempting to perform stunts with the vehicle when the Scorpio became stuck in the nallah, triggering an immediate rescue effort.
Soon after the incident was reported, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Sonamarg, accompanied by a team of police personnel, reached the spot. Local residents also joined the rescue operation to help retrieve the stranded vehicle.
The rescue efforts were underway at the time of filing this report.
Police are also examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and may take further action if any violation or negligence is established during the inquiry.
The incident once again highlights the risks associated with performing vehicle stunts in water channels and other hazardous areas.
