CHANDIGARH/NEW DELHI, NOV 2: Three Aam Aadmi Party legislators from Punjab are slated to join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Monday, marking the initial defections of the election season.

Party sources indicated that Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra representing Sanaur, Chetan Singh Jourmajra from Samana, and Kunwar Vijay Pratap from Amritsar North will formally enter the party fold at the BJP national headquarters in New Delhi.

Preparations were finalized at the headquarters following formal communications regarding the induction of prominent political figures. Speculation within political circles suggested that BJP President Nitin Nabin would personally oversee the induction ceremony in the national capital.

The developments coincide with anticipations of internal friction within the ruling party as candidate selections for the upcoming polls are finalized.

BJP national secretary Sandeep Pathak played a pivotal role in facilitating the transitions, drawing on his extensive organizational history with the AAP setup in Punjab prior to the 2022 elections.
