CHANDIGARH, NOV 6: Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema launched a detailed critique against the central government during a joint press conference in Chandigarh on Friday, accusing the ruling establishment of weaponizing central institutions such as the Enforcement Directorate, the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Income Tax Department, and the Election Commission.

Addressing media personnel alongside AAP Punjab Women Wing President and Moga MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora, Cheema asserted that the intensive 48-hour search operation conducted across her residence, office, hospital, and extended family properties resulted in zero recoveries of cash or incriminating documentation, effectively granting AAP leaders another certificate of absolute honesty.

Cheema declared that central authorities have established a predictable pattern of deploying investigative bodies whenever state assembly elections draw near to undermine democratic processes and fabricate media narratives against political rivals. He stated that despite persistent efforts by external political interests to lure party legislators with promises of ministerial posts and Rajya Sabha memberships, elected representatives in Punjab remain firmly committed to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora affirmed her resolve, emphasizing that the Punjab Vidhan Sabha currently boasts the highest-ever historical representation of women legislators with 11 AAP women MLAs, and maintained that no amount of administrative pressure or political inducements can silence women leaders working for the development, healthcare, and educational progress of Punjab.
