Kataria Inaugurates Health, Beauty & Wellness Symposium in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 24 February 2025 — UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria inaugurated the second edition of the Health, Beauty & Wellness Symposium 2025 in Chandigarh.

Organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Northern Region, the event brought together industry stakeholders to discuss emerging trends, growth prospects, and innovations in the sector.

Kataria emphasized that inadequate nutrition remains a key contributor to poor health and stated that government efforts alone cannot address the issue.

He urged industry leaders to collaborate on social initiatives and commended ASSOCHAM for its role in tackling such challenges.

Chandigarh Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla underscored mindfulness as a crucial tool for stress management, focus enhancement, and emotional well-being.

She noted that Chandigarh’s green spaces and well-planned infrastructure contribute to holistic wellness, positioning the city as a model for sustainability and health.

The symposium explored various aspects of preventive healthcare, beauty solutions, mental well-being, and lifestyle management, highlighting the integration of modern advancements with traditional wisdom to improve quality of life.

Key industry figures in attendance included Rakesh Bhalla, chairman of ASSOCHAM’s Chandigarh UT Development Council; Abhi Bansal, chairman of ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development Council; Manik Batra, chairman of ASSOCHAM’s J&K UT Development Council; Drishmeet Singh Buttar, co-chairman of ASSOCHAM Chandigarh UT Development Council; and Iqbal Singh Cheema, co-chairman of ASSOCHAM Punjab State Development Council.
