Kharar, 3 March — Kharar police arrested four men with 106 gm of heroin, ₹51,500 in drug money, four Apple iPhones, and a scooter. The accused attempted to evade a checkpoint but were intercepted by the police.
Initially, officers apprehended Jai Kumar, Jaswinder Singh, and Raipreet Singh. Their interrogation led to the arrest of Abdul Latif, from whom 6 gm of heroin and ₹1,500 were recovered.
During a press briefing on Sunday, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Karan Sandhu stated that the trio was riding a scooter when they were signaled to stop at a checkpoint on Friday.
“They tried to flee but were caught, and the contraband was recovered,” he said.
All four were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and Section 128 of the Motor Vehicles Act at City Kharar police station.
