Chandigarh, August 1: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu dismissed assertions made by state Congress leadership regarding ruling party legislators, stating that claims of contact with governing members were designed to mask deep internal factionalism.
Addressing media representatives in Chandigarh, Pannu stated that public statements and social media activity from opposition leaders reflected growing confusion and internal conflict. He maintained that the opposition party remains focused on internal position disputes rather than public interest issues.
“The statements and social media posts being issued by Congress leaders clearly reflected the deep divisions within the party,” AAP Media In-Charge Baltej Pannu stated. “The situation in the Punjab Congress has deteriorated to such an extent that its leaders are busy fighting each other instead of raising public issues.”
Pannu affirmed that conflicting figures provided by senior opposition figures regarding contact with ruling legislators demonstrated political desperation. He asserted that the party lacked moral standing to comment on ruling legislators after failing to retain key figures who previously joined other political organizations.
Highlighting organizational challenges, Pannu stated that opposition leadership should focus on resolving candidate selection and internal alignment across assembly constituencies before making claims about the ruling party. He affirmed that the citizens of Punjab remain supportive of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s administration, which continues to deliver governance initiatives across the state.
