Chandigarh, Nov 8: Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated that the AAP remains focused on its governance record ahead of the state assembly elections, regardless of whether the Bharatiya Janata Party chooses to contest independently or form alliances. Expressing confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, Pannu maintained that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will secure a second consecutive term based on public support for key welfare initiatives.
Highlighting the state administration’s achievements over the past five years, Pannu declared that the government has expanded canal water coverage across 88 percent of agricultural land, maintained 600 units of free household electricity, and introduced a ₹10 lakh health insurance scheme. He noted that CM Bhagwant Singh Mann has maintained direct public engagement throughout his tenure, establishing a responsive governance model across the state.
Addressing political developments, the AAP spokesperson characterized the BJP’s election strategy as contradictory, citing varying public statements regarding alliance possibilities. He asserted that voters in Punjab remain acutely aware of key regional issues, including agricultural concerns, resource allocations, and administrative jurisdiction involving Chandigarh and Panjab University.
Concluding his statement, Pannu affirmed that the AAP will seek a fresh mandate based entirely on its administrative record, infrastructural progress, and public welfare schemes.
