Chandigarh, July 21: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal declared that the central government must actively engage with students and accept their legitimate demands following recent paper leak incidents in competitive examinations, including NEET. Speaking at a press conference, Badal maintained that compromising the future of the nation’s youth under any circumstances is completely unacceptable. He asserted that examination systems must be made foolproof to safeguard student trust and merit.
Turning his focus to state affairs, the SAD chief criticized the Punjab government, pointing out the contradiction between its public statements on student rights and its alleged silence regarding paper leak allegations in state recruitment exams.
He also questioned the state’s management of the flood situation, declaring that families in affected areas are calling out for assistance while effective relief arrangements remain lacking on the ground.
Critiquing the administrative style of the state government, Badal declared that the Akali Dal will consistently raise its voice on public and Panthic issues. Addressing religious matters, the SAD president affirmed that the party will implement all directives from Akal Takht Sahib with complete reverence, emphasizing that every Sikh holds its edicts in the highest regard. He declared that the Shiromani Akali Dal will fully participate in the Khalsai March scheduled for July 24, noting that the SGPC has finalized preparations for the event.
