Chandigarh, November 23, 2024: The BJP has emerged victorious in seven out of nine assembly seats in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections, while the Samajwadi Party (SP) secured two.
Counting of votes concluded with SP winning the Seesamau and Karhal seats, while the BJP claimed Ghaziabad, Khair, Phulpur, Katehri, Majhwan, and Mirapur.
The BJP has also established a commanding lead in Kundarki, making an SP comeback unlikely.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attributed the party’s success to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Winning seven of nine seats is proof of people’s unwavering faith in PM Modi’s policies, intentions, and decisions.”
He added that this victory signals “the beginning of the end” for the SP and the INDIA alliance, accusing them of “looting” and practicing “politics of lies.”
Adityanath further stated that the BJP’s triumph in the by-elections reflects a rejection of appeasement and communal politics, declaring it a victory for “a new India worshipping Ram and the nation.”
He also referenced Maharashtra, claiming a symbolic victory for those honoring Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and dismissing those who insult him.
This by-election outcome is seen as a significant boost for the BJP as it solidifies its position ahead of upcoming state and national elections.
