Ludhiana, November 23, 2024: Ludhiana Police, in coordination with Counter Intelligence, arrested Lovepreet Singh alias Monu Baba, accused of hurling petrol bombs at the residences of Shiv Sena leaders in the city.
The suspect was reportedly hiding in religious places disguised as a sadhu. Police sources revealed that the accused is a drug addict.
Lovepreet Singh is accused of targeting the homes of Yogesh Bakshi and Harkirat Singh Khurana, leaders of the Hindu organization. Police Commissioner Kuldeep Singh Chahal confirmed that the arrest was made in Ladowal during a joint operation.
According to the investigation, Singh, along with Ravinderpal Singh Ravi and Anil Kumar alias Sunny, attacked Harkirat Singh Khurana’s residence with a petrol bomb on November 2.
The case is registered at Model Town Police Station.
This arrest brings the total number of suspects apprehended in the case to five, and police are conducting raids to track down additional accused.
Commissioner Chahal assured that efforts are ongoing to ensure all involved are brought to justice.
