Chandigarh, October 24, 2024: As private telecom companies like JIO, and AIRTEL raise their recharge plan prices, many customers are turning to BSNL for more affordable options. In response, BSNL is launching new plans and services to attract users.
Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia announced that BSNL will roll out 5G services by 2025 during the launch of the company’s new logo and seven new services. BSNL has successfully completed testing of its 5G network on the 3.6 GHz and 700 MHz bands.
The newly introduced services include:
- Spam-Free Network: This service helps block spam messages.
- National Wi-Fi Roaming: Customers can access free internet at BSNL Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide with a BSNL fiber connection.
- BSNL IFTV: Offers over 500 live TV channels for home viewing.
- SIM Kiosk: Customers can now easily obtain BSNL SIM cards from various locations.
- Direct-to-Device Connectivity: A dedicated network for disaster assistance.
- Disaster Relief Network: A secure communication network operational during emergencies, utilizing drone and balloon technology to enhance coverage.
- Private 5G Mining Operations: Launch of 5G connectivity for the mining industry.
