New Delhi, 21 November 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedules for the 2025 Class 10 and Class 12 Board exams, set to begin on February 15. While Class 10 exams will conclude on March 18, Class 12 exams will continue until April 4.
This year, CBSE released the date sheets 86 days before the exams, a first in its history. According to the Board, the early announcement aims to give students sufficient time to prepare, helping them manage exam-related stress and enhance their performance.
“Students will have enough time to plan and start their preparations. Additionally, families and teachers can organize summer vacation schedules around these dates,” the Board said in a statement. CBSE added that teachers involved in the evaluation process would not be away from schools for extended periods, ensuring minimal disruption to the studies of non-board classes.
The exams will commence at 10:30 a.m. daily, with adequate gaps scheduled between two commonly chosen subjects in both classes. This structure is intended to provide students ample time for focused study during the exam period.
To be eligible for the Board exams, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance. CBSE emphasized the importance of this requirement for ensuring students’ consistent engagement throughout the academic year.
In line with its existing policy, CBSE reiterated that it would not release merit lists or division-wise marks for the 2025 exams.
The announcement also serves as a guide for schools and families to streamline their planning. “The clarity provided by the early release of the date sheet helps avoid scheduling conflicts and ensures a smooth examination process,” the Board said.
Students, teachers, and parents are now set to gear up for the upcoming exams, with a clear timeline offering a structured pathway for preparations.
