Mathura, Sept 19: GLA University hosted the UP Rise 2026 entrepreneurship drive on Friday, bringing together over eight hundred students to foster startup development and self-employment. The state initiative aims to align young innovators with the Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh vision, encouraging participants to build scalable enterprises that create regional employment.
University leaders including Chancellor Narayan Das Agrawal, Vice Chancellor Prof Anoop Kumar Gupta, Chief Finance Officer Dr Vivek Agrawal, and Registrar Ashok Kumar Singh inaugurated the gathering alongside guest speakers.
During the program, domain experts outlined key government support mechanisms, detailing capital assistance and subsidies available under the Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Yojana, the UP Startup Fund, the UP Skill Mission, and the Chief Minister Abhyudaya scheme.
The event featured a competitive startup presentation where eight promising ventures were selected from twenty-five initial student submissions.
LittleLingos, an artificial intelligence platform designed for children’s language learning, won the top prize of Rs 25,000 following pitch evaluations by industry mentors. Fitted, an AI personal styling application, and Dhritam, a health technology venture focused on smart garments, shared the runner-up positions.
Additional shortlisted projects included the student marketplace Campora, travel service platform Namaste AI, drone developer Quantaverse Technologies, logistics model Book My Sarathi, and an autonomous rescue robotic system engineered by Daksh Dynamics.
University Chancellor Narayan Das Agrawal declared that state policies continue to expand opportunities in technical skills, self-employment, and corporate innovation. He maintained that modern students possess the potential to evolve from job seekers into enterprise founders who actively generate workforce demand.
He encouraged aspiring founders to seek expert guidance to convert their concepts into functional business models. Following the session at GLA University, the UP Rise initiative is scheduled to cover thirty educational institutions across twenty-five cities in Uttar Pradesh, with the next session planned at Invertis University in Bareilly.
