Ayodhya, Nov 8: Ayodhya’s Ram Path witnessed a massive gathering of devotees on Saturday as the tenth Deepotsav celebrations commenced with a grand tableau procession. State Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh flagged off the three-kilometer procession from Saket Mahavidyalaya, leading to Ram Katha Park.
The procession featured 21 intricately decorated tableaux, seven of which depicted episodes from the seven Kandas of the Ramayana—from Bal Kand to Uttar Kand. The remaining 14 floats showcased major governance and infrastructural initiatives, including the Defense Industrial Corridor, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Mission Shakti.
Folk artists and cultural troupes from across the nation accompanied the procession, performing traditional dances alongside women drummers and regional nagada players. Devotees gathered along the route cheered the live enactments of sacred narrative scenes.
Speaking on the occasion, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted Ayodhya’s growing cultural prominence and noted that the annual Deepotsav continues to set new benchmarks in regional heritage tourism and cultural preservation.
