Gurugram, April 29: Panic spread across Gurugram on Wednesday morning as approximately 10 prominent private schools received bomb threats via email. The messages, which arrived at 8:33 am, forced several institutions to halt classes and implement emergency evacuation protocols shortly after students had arrived for the day.
School administrations at reputed institutions, including Shri Ram, Amity, and HDFC, immediately contacted the police after discovering the emails around 9:00 am. Following established safety procedures, many schools declared an unscheduled holiday, directing parents to collect their children as security teams established cordons. The sudden alerts led to large gatherings of concerned families outside school gates throughout the morning.
Police officials stated that a comprehensive search operation is currently underway across all affected campuses. A senior police officer affirmed that bomb disposal squads and specialized units are actively sanitizing the premises. He declared that while the threats are being taken with the utmost seriousness, the primary focus remains the safe evacuation of all students and staff.
The incident follows a string of similar threats in the region that have kept local authorities on high alert. Law enforcement maintains that technical teams are working to trace the origin of the digital messages. Officials stated that security remains heightened at all major educational hubs in the city as the investigation continues.
