Chandigarh, November 8, 2024— Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh has announced the launch of a new Dispute Resolution Scheme to address issues related to plot allotments by the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA).
According to inputs, the scheme, set to begin on November 15, coinciding with the Prakash Purab of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, will be available for six months, offering relief to over 7,000 plot allottees.
Presiding over the 127th meeting of HUDA, CM Naib Singh reviewed 65 agendas, approving all proposals.
He noted the need for swift resolution of pending cases to ensure allottees face no difficulties.
“This initiative will provide substantial relief to plot holders, resolving issues related to increased allotment costs,” Singh noted.
Previously, a similar dispute resolution scheme benefited 40,762 defaulting allottees, resulting in relief worth approximately ₹1,560 crore.
The renewed scheme aims to extend similar support, with a focus on offering equitable opportunities for allottees and settling outstanding cases.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure a fair application process for plot allotments in new sectors and to re-advertise plots for those who missed earlier opportunities.
HUDA officials assured CM Naib Singh that preparations are underway to advertise available plots as per policy.
The meeting also addressed the issue of plot allottees who have yet to receive possession certificates.
The Chief Minister directed that these allottees be given another chance to apply, extending the deadline to March 31, 2025.
Singh also urged officials to develop a fathom plan to implement resolutions outlined in the government’s election manifesto, reinforcing his commitment to addressing the concerns of plot allottees and ensuring their grievances are resolved efficiently.
