Mumbai: Security personnel deployed at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex intercepted and detained a 24-year-old man claiming to be a Prime Minister’s Office official, along with his armed escort, ahead of a scheduled event involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Officers confirmed that a firearm was recovered from the individual acting as the bodyguard after both failed to produce valid credentials.

The incident occurred as law enforcement and venue security were maintaining strict security protocols across the complex. Vigilant personnel noticed suspicious movement near the premises and moved swiftly to question the duo. When the 24-year-old individual could not provide official authorization or verifiable proof of his claimed PMO status, security teams detained both men on the spot.

A police official confirmed that the suspects were handed over to the Mumbai Police for detailed questioning. The department stated that the Crime Intelligence Unit alongside local police units has initiated a comprehensive probe to ascertain how the individuals gained entry to the venue and to establish their motives.

Authorities maintained that safety protocols at the high-security venue remain fully compromised-free and under continuous supervision. Further details regarding the identities and intentions of the detained persons will be released as the investigation progresses.
