Mohali, March 9 – Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal was arrested after singer and actress Sunanda Sharma accused him of cheating, forgery, and criminal intimidation.
Sunanda alleged that despite generating ₹250 crore in revenue, she had not been paid by Dhaliwal’s music company, Mad4Music. In her complaint to Mohali police, she also accused him of exploiting her under the pretext of marriage to his son, Gurkaran Dhaliwal.
Dhaliwal was arrested from Sector 70 on Saturday, and a case has been registered at Mataur police station. Punjab Women’s Commission chairperson Raj Lalli Gill took up the matter after Sunanda shared her ordeal on social media, tagging Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
In a statement on X, the 33-year-old singer said, “Certain individuals are falsely claiming exclusive rights over my professional engagements. These claims are fraudulent and legally baseless. Legal action will be taken against anyone misrepresenting their association with me.”
