Chandigarh, July 6: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab State Media In-charge Baltej Pannu stated that the Congress, BJP, and Shiromani Akali Dal have essentially combined into a single entity to target Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Speaking at a press conference, the media chief asserted that traditional political parties have formed a joint front because they lack any substantial counter to the state government’s developmental record.
The opposition parties were described as being preoccupied with administrative criticism rather than presenting a constructive roadmap for the state’s progress. “The irony is that Congress leaders are explaining what is happening inside the BJP, while BJP leaders are speaking on Congress affairs,” Pannu declared, maintaining that both factions appear to be operating in complete coordination. He added that the ruling party’s successful implementation of long-awaited public welfare measures remains a point of contention for rival politicians.
The administration’s ongoing initiatives were noted as key milestones that previous leaderships had failed to deliver for decades. The media chief affirmed that canal water has successfully reached the tail-end villages of the state, and agricultural fields are now receiving uninterrupted daytime power. Additionally, nearly 90 percent of households are reportedly receiving zero electricity bills due to the provision of 600 units of free power, while more than 34 lakh women have begun receiving state financial assistance.
The media chief also drew attention to internal structural transitions within rival parties, stating that the regional wing of the BJP has increasingly absorbed former opposition faces. He pointed out that the public is closely observing these political shifts and meetings between senior opposition leaders and union ministers. Pannu asserted that if the current governance model had not been established, traditional political entities would have continued to stall the region’s development and deny citizens essential resources like cashless healthcare and power subsidies.
