Wayanad, 30 November 2024 – Priyanka Gandhi is visiting Wayanad today for the first time since her victory in the Lok Sabha by-election, where she succeeded Rahul Gandhi. The by-election was held after Rahul vacated the Wayanad seat. Priyanka is scheduled to address a thanksgiving rally during her visit.
On November 28, Priyanka officially entered Parliament, taking her oath as a Member of the Lok Sabha. She was seen holding a copy of the Constitution, echoing Rahul Gandhi’s gesture, and wore Kerala’s traditional Kasavu saree on her first day.
With Priyanka’s entry, the Gandhi family now has three Congress MPs in Parliament. Rahul represents Rae Bareli in the Lok Sabha, while Sonia Gandhi serves as a Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan.
