Chandigarh, January 25—The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has directed all Revenue Department offices to ensure full functionality of CCTV cameras by January 31, 2025.

Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian announced that the directive applies to Sub-Registrar and Joint Sub-Registrar offices, where the cameras are intended to prevent inconvenience and ensure smooth operations for citizens.

“These measures reinforce our commitment to transparency and accountability in public services,” he stated.

Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with monitoring the implementation at the district level.

The department is actively inspecting the functionality of existing cameras and has warned officials of strict compliance with the timeline.

The project seeks to eliminate delays and improve citizen experience in Revenue Department offices, underlining the government’s focus on efficient service delivery.
