Mumbai, 05 November 2024: Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a fresh death threat, with the sender demanding a payment of Rs 5 crore, a Mumbai police official disclosed on Tuesday. The threat, submitted through the Mumbai traffic police helpline, was read by an officer around midnight, the official stated.
The message, purportedly from someone claiming to be the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, issued a stark warning. “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should visit our (Bishnoi community) temple and apologize or pay Rs 5 crore. If he doesn’t comply, we will kill him; our gang remains active,” the threat read.
Following the incident, police have intensified security around Khan and are actively investigating the message’s origin. Authorities are working to verify any possible connections to Lawrence Bishnoi, who faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and extortion, according to sources close to the investigation.
