Rae Bareli, Sept 11: The Uttar Pradesh government organized the ‘UP RISE: Samvaad, Sankalp, Safalta’ program at the Feroze Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (FGIET) in Rae Bareli to advance the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh’. The initiative aims to support young innovators in establishing their own enterprises rather than seeking traditional employment.
Addressing over 500 participating students, Global Taxpayers Trust Chairman Manish Khemka highlighted the rapid growth of the state’s startup ecosystem. He affirmed that the number of registered startups in Uttar Pradesh has grown from 120 prior to 2017 to over 24,000, supported by streamlined governance, sustenance allowances, and seed capital under the state’s Startup Policy framework.
Technical experts Lata Rastogi and Manish Nath provided insights into emerging technologies, focusing on artificial intelligence and mobility solutions. The speakers urged the audience to leverage state initiatives such as the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Yojana and women-centric empowerment programs designed to foster self-reliance.
The event shortlisted 12 innovative startup ideas, awarding a cash prize of 25,000 rupees to Navneet Yadav and the ‘Mobile Sahyogi Robot’ team for the best presentation. State officials affirmed that the UP RISE program will expand across 30 prominent institutions in 25 cities to connect local talent directly with employment and internship opportunities.
