Kapurthala: A 32-year-old man, Gurjit Singh, son of Gurdev Singh from Punjab’s Kapurthala district, died of a heart attack in California, USA, just days before his wedding on October 18. The family has begun the process of repatriating Gurjit Singh’s body to India.
According to his family, Gurjit was planning to return to Punjab and tragically passed away just two days before his scheduled flight. “He was coming home for his wedding. It’s a tragedy, and all of the relatives are in shock and denial,” Gurjit’s uncle told the media.
“We were all eagerly looking forward to the wedding, but now our hearts are burdened with immense grief. This tragedy has torn our family apart. We could never have imagined something so devastating would happen,” his family shared, overwhelmed with sorrow.
