Chandigarh, Nov 13: The Tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula) experienced a noticeable drop in night temperatures on Thursday, bringing a crisp chill to the air. While Mohali stayed relatively warmer with a low of 12.4°C, Chandigarh recorded a minimum of 8.7°C, and Panchkula felt the cold the most at 8°C. Daytime highs in Chandigarh settled around 27°C, slightly below the seasonal norm, under clear skies that lingered through the day.
The widening gap between day and night temperatures hints at winter’s early arrival in the plains. Humidity levels in Chandigarh ranged from 35% to 92%, while the region remained dry, with no rainfall reported across any Tricity stations.
Looking ahead, the India Meteorological Department has predicted mainly clear skies in the coming days, with night temperatures expected to hover between 7°C and 8°C and daytime highs around 26-28°C. Partly cloudy conditions may return by early next week, providing a gentle shift in the city’s wintery rhythm.
