Ghaziabad, Feb 4: A tragic incident claimed the lives of three minor siblings in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad after they allegedly jumped from their ninth-floor balcony following a confrontation with their parents. The sisters were reportedly addicted to a specific “Korean love game” that had begun to interfere with their education and daily routines.

The deceased, 16-year-old Vishika, 14-year-old Prachi, and 12-year-old Pakhi, were residents of the Bharat City township. According to police sources, the parents had repeatedly voiced their objections to the daughters’ gaming habits. The tension reached a peak on Tuesday night when a final argument regarding their studies and phone usage took place.

Assistant Police Commissioner Atul Kumar Singh noted that the girls had become increasingly withdrawn from school since the Covid-19 pandemic, choosing instead to focus on virtual tasks. The sisters were known in the community for their constant companionship, rarely spending any time apart.

“The three sisters were extremely close and did everything together, including bathing, eating, going to school and sleeping,” Singh said.

The police have initiated a formal inquiry into the “Korean love game” to determine if external influences played a role in the sisters’ decision. While the investigation continues, officials mentioned that the parents had attempted several times to counsel the children about the balance between gaming and academic responsibilities. The bodies have been sent for a forensic examination to confirm the cause of death.
