Patiala, August 13: The 122nd annual Urs Mubarak of Sanjha Peer Baba Hazur Hazrat Inayat Shahwali Chishti Ji concluded with religious fervor at the historic shrine situated in A Tank Adalat Bazaar, Patiala. Devotees, prominent social workers, business figures, and political representatives from across the region attended the day-long spiritual gathering.
Festivities commenced early in the morning with a formal flag-hoisting ceremony conducted by Gaddi Nashin Kuldeep Singh alongside Gaddi Nashin Hazur Khwaja Hassan Maharaj. The traditional offering of Nazar Niyaz and Chadar took place later in the evening, while an uninterrupted community kitchen served thousands of visiting pilgrims throughout the day.
“Elaborate administrative and logistics arrangements were put in place to ensure smooth movement and comfort for all visiting pilgrims,” shrine representatives maintained while reflecting on the heavy turnout.
The shrine complex featured extensive decorative lighting for the annual Bhandara, with volunteer groups managing the continuous influx of attendees. Prominent figures paying respects included MLA Ajit Pal Singh Kohli, former MLA Hardial Singh Kamboj, PRTC Chairman Harpal Juneja, and former Mayor Vishnu Sharma, alongside numerous community leaders.
