PATNA, May 15 — The state government will launch ‘Sahyog Shivir’ across gram panchayats starting May 19, establishing a new mechanism for the time-bound redressal of rural grievances. These camps are scheduled to take place sequentially on the first and third Tuesday of every month as part of the ‘Ease of Living’ initiatives under the Saat Nischay-3 program.
Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit has issued comprehensive guidelines to divisional commissioners and district magistrates to ensure services are delivered directly to citizens’ doorsteps. The camps will be held at Panchayat Sarkar Bhawans or central public locations, where officials from all relevant departments must be present to accept both online and offline applications.
“The process of making application at these Shivirs, which will be held at the gram panchayat level, will begin 30 days in advance,” the directive stated, affirming that all complaints will be tracked via the Samvad Samadhan Portal.
District Magistrates have been granted the authority to determine the specific number of camps held each Tuesday based on available personnel. These sessions will be presided over by senior administrative officials, including Deputy Development Commissioners and Sub-Divisional Officers, accompanied by equivalent-ranking police personnel.
To ensure accountability, the government has mandated that officials provide specific justifications if a grievance cannot be resolved immediately. The guidelines maintain that if a delay occurs, the concerned department must cite relevant rules and provide the complainant with a definitive resolution date.
This initiative supplements the existing grievance system where government offices at various levels already address public concerns every Monday and Friday. The new Tuesday camps are intended to further simplify the process for rural residents, ensuring that the goal of a “Respectful and Easier Life” is met through sensitive and timely administrative action.
