Issued via notifications under the Punjab Reorganisation Act, the update introduces three structural laws from Punjab and two regulatory frameworks from Haryana to address long-standing gaps in the territory’s legal landscape.
Administrative officials declared that the selected measures are designed to bring uniformity in local regulation, strengthen citizen protections, and simplify business compliance across the city. The updated framework incorporates refined guidelines for property valuations and introduces formal record-of-rights mapping for areas that historically lacked structured documentation. Additionally, updated safety protocols and risk-based assessment systems from neighboring states will now guide local emergency management, replacing older statutory guidelines with streamlined compliance pathways.
