Chandigarh, June 19: The Punjab government’s administrative infrastructure has registered a sharp reduction in official delays following the widespread adoption of its digital doorstep delivery system. Under the active “Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar” campaign, total pending applications across state departments have dropped to just 0.33 percent, reflecting enhanced operational efficiency.

The system utilizes an integrated technology framework that has already fulfilled more than 3.10 lakh citizen service requests directly at residential doorsteps. By facilitating access to 437 distinct public services via the 1076 helpline, digital portals, and instant messaging tools, the administration has minimized the traditional necessity for residents to physically visit regional offices.

Discussing the technological transition, Punjab Good Governance and Information Technology Minister Aman Arora stated that the primary objective is to make public administration highly responsive.

“Technology does not replace governance; it strengthens transparency and accountability. By enabling real-time tracking of applications, digital systems reduce delays, minimise uncertainty and make service delivery more responsive to citizens,” the Minister declared.

He maintained that reducing bureaucratic paperwork remains a priority for the state.

The updated process allows field operators to collect necessary verification details digitally, eliminating lengthy physical forms and reducing data errors. Senior officials noted that local leaders, including Sarpanches, Nambardars, and Municipal Councillors, are now utilizing online verification channels to speed up standard certification. The administration affirmed that this structural shift has successfully restricted the influence of external intermediaries, establishing a transparent, verifiable trail for every citizen request.
