Gurugram, July 7: The Gurugram police, in collaboration with the district administration, executed a major anti-encroachment drive to dismantle illegal properties tied to land mafias and drug traffickers in Dhankot village. The targeted operation resulted in the demolition of unauthorized structures across five distinct locations, directly striking at the logistical networks of habitual offenders.
During the execution of the drive, enforcement agencies identified key criminal figures Narender, widely known as Pavva, and Sunny, alias Dogra, both originating from Dhanwapur village. Official records indicate that Pavva is currently facing 12 serious criminal cases, including attempt to murder, assault, dacoity, and multiple violations under the Arms Act. Similarly, Dogra has a track record of 13 criminal cases involving identical grave charges, highlighting their deep-rooted involvement in the region’s underworld.
Intelligence gathered by investigators revealed that the duo had illegally set up a private borewell alongside a residential structure on public land situated near the Dhankot canal. Once the district administration finalized the mandatory legal and administrative checks, heavy machinery was brought in to flatten the unauthorized encroachments.
The field operation was spearheaded by the Crime Branch Palam Vihar, working alongside executive magistrates to ensure the rule of law. A Gurugram police spokesperson affirmed that the entire demolition process was conducted under tight supervision, keeping the law and order situation perfectly stable throughout the day.
The crackdown forms part of a larger strategy to disrupt the financial foundations of organized crime groups across the district. Turning a profit from illegal real estate has been a primary revenue stream for local syndicates, which the state is actively choking off.
Moving forward, security agencies plan to maintain this aggressive stance against public encroachments. The Gurugram police spokesperson declared that intelligence-led campaigns against properties funded by criminal proceeds will continue indefinitely to guarantee a secure, crime-free environment for residents.
