Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government has directed the Education Department to establish a formal dress code for teachers alongside updated uniforms for students attending state-run CBSE schools, while also introducing a uniform exterior color scheme for school buildings.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu declared during a review meeting with Education Department officials that the teacher dress code across these institutions will come into effect from October 1 this year. Discussions also covered finalization details for a standardized state logo for government-managed CBSE institutions.
To enhance institutional discipline and daily punctuality, the state administration affirmed that attendance will be recorded three times a day within these schools.
The Chief Minister asserted that the initiative aims to expand access to high-quality, affordable education for rural students, offering a cost-effective alternative to private CBSE options.
Regarding operational support, the state maintained that teaching positions have been assigned and reaffirmed that any future vacancies will be addressed promptly to maintain uninterrupted academic progress.
