New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal called upon the Bharatiya Janata Party to implement stronger measures against narcotics trafficking in states under its governance, citing effective border actions taken within Punjab. Highlighting shifting drug routes, the AAP chief maintained that strict anti-drone deployments along the international border significantly curtailed historical entry channels. He asserted that a substantial portion of illicit contraband reaching the region now originates from inter-state networks spanning Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.
Addressing maritime security, Kejriwal noted that Mundra Port in Gujarat serves as a major transit point for incoming consignments, stating that central authorities hold primary responsibility for securing international ports. AAP National Media In-charge Anurag Dhanda also questioned the oversight mechanism at key border points. The party leadership emphasized that inter-state coordination and proactive law enforcement remain essential to dismantle cross-border drug syndicates effectively.
